Introduction
Eye4Software Hydromagic is an hydrographic survey package, which can be used to map areas using a GNSS receiver and echo sounder.
Use the software to import, view and edit your maps, display your position and to record depths (create soundings).
The software will work with almost any GNSS receiver and echo sounder, and can be used on any desktop,
laptop or netbook computer running Windows 7 (SP1) or higher.
The software has been tested successfully on the following Microsoft Windows operating systems:
- Windows 7 (32 bit);
- Windows 7 (64 bit);
- Windows 8 (32 bit);
- Windows 8 (64 bit);
- Windows 8.1 (32 bit);
- Windows 8.1 (64 bit);
- Windows 10 (64 bit);
- Windows 11 (64 bit).
Some application examples:
- Record depth data using a GNSS receiver and echo sounder;
- Show your current position and depth on a (down)loaded map;
- Convert your soundings to a regularly spaced XYZ data (DTM);
- Convert your soundings to different file formats;
- Import and geo-reference side scan sonar images;
- Import NMEA0183 log data files and convert them to soundings;
- Show cross-sections and calculate volumes;
- Design and generate theoretical DTM's (channel design);
- Create depth contours and save them as AutoCAD DXF or ESRI shapefiles;
- Add comments, symbols or routes to your maps;
- Perform real-time positioning on research and hydrographic survey vessels;
- Fishing industry, for instance to navigate inside the assigned fishing parcels;
- View GIS features on shapefiles, CAD and S57 (ENC) data;
- Convert data between various hydrographic data file formats;
- Create and upload routes to your USV's autopiliot for autonomous data collection;
- Log dredging progress with the Hydromagic Dredging package;
