Building GPS applications using .NET or the .NET Compact Framework has never been easier using the Eye4Software GPS Toolkit for .NET. The toolkit allows you to read position, time, satellite and speed data and more, directly from a GPS using the NMEA 0183 protocol which is used by almost any GPS device around. The package contains two GPS SDK's, one to build GPS software for mobile device platforms such as Windows CE, Windows Mobile and Windows Smartphone, and one allowing you to build GPS applications for Windows desktop platforms. The GPS Toolkit also contains support for various map projections. This allows you to convert coordinates from one map grid to another, or to convert coordinates from one map datum to another. Supported map projections include: Transverse Mercator, Oblique Mercator, Mercator, Lambert Conformal Conic, Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area, Polar Stereographic, Oblique Stereographic, Albers Equal Area, Eckert IV and VI, Mollweide, Krovak, Cassini-Soldner and more. This .NET Class Library can be used from various programming environments, including Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET, Visual J# .NET, JScript .NET and all other platforms that support the .NET framework.
